Hemlines have taken a seriously Sixties turn for autumn/winter 2014;

Rock steady
Sixties A-line shifts mingled with minxy A-line mini
skirts during Saint Laurent's autumn/winter 2014 showcase. The one thing
they had in common? The micro-hemlined outfits were all ultra dark.
Luckily Hedi Slimane OK-ed opaque tights, making those bum-skimming
skirts a little more demure and accessible.

Belt up
In knots about autumn's
belt loop trend?
Follow Nicolas Ghesquière's styling on Louis Vuitton's
autumn/winter 2014 catwalk and tie sharp leather belts around A-line
minis. Tuck in a thin knit to balance out the amount of limb on display
below, and add one statement earring if you really want to play the
Ghesquière girl.

Work-ready
Tuck a slouchy (unbuttoned) shirt into an A-line skirt
and voilà! you've scored yourself a new office outfit. Throw in some
pointy pumps and a simple necklace chain or two to spruce up the look.

The cosy knit
When Christoper Kane prescribes big, cosy knits for
autumn, you know it's alright to get sweater-happy. Whether you plump
for a roll-neck, chunky fisherman knit or festive, patterned jumper, let
your A-line play the secondary part to your fabulous knitwear.

Add structure
In fashion maths a mini skirt benefits from having
something more modest placed up top. There's no need to pile on the
layers though; seek out a structured sweater, as seen at Opening
Ceremony's autumn 2014 show, for a more minimal, off-beat look.
