A man was hospitalized in fair condition today with burns he suffered
during a blaze in a Sylmar doughnut shop, the Los Angeles Fire
Department said.
The fire in the strip-mall shop at 15681 W. Roxford St. was reported at 6:44 a.m., said department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The
58 year-old-victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a local
hospital. No other details on his condition were available.
Thirty-eight firefighters extinguished the flames in 24 minutes.
Arson investigators were called to the scene to probe the cause of the fire, Stewart said.
